Review the book

Review the book.

What Are We Missing? is planned for 13 February 2027. A limited number of confidential review copies go to readers who will judge the book on its merits and say so plainly. Every application is read by the author - and it takes about two minutes.

The transparency promise

If you agree below, the photo and details you give here appear on this website only when your review is published. When your feedback comes in, it is published in the same place, with your consent. The details you enter in this form are what we use for that.

What you do - civil engineer, lecturer, founder, student, anything.
Where you do it - shown next to your designation. Leave blank if not relevant.
Helpful, not essential - leave it blank if you prefer.
Three quick statements - tap Yes or NoThere are no wrong answers. This simply helps us match the right readers to the book.

I ask questions before I decide, even when the evidence looks settled.

Before I weigh risk against benefit, I ask which questions were never asked.

When everyone agrees, I wonder what we are all missing.

Tell us about a decision that didn’t go to plan, and the question that might have changed it. Three or four sentences is plenty - we simply want to see how you think.
It appears on the website next to your name and designation when your review is published. A clear, recent photo of you - JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 4MB.

Applications are stored privately and read by the author. Nothing you send appears anywhere without the consent above.
